Your mission

This project is focused on translational studies of inflammatory diseases, with special emphasis on cutaneous lymphoma. The project involves experimental in vitro studies investigating fundamental pathophysiological processes and work with clinical material. This position is for three months with the possibility to prolongation.

Your profile

We are seeking an independent and motivated candidate, with a documented ability to carry out both experimental and clinical research projects. The candidate is expected to initiate, plan and perform independent projects, but also to contribute to the scientific environment by partaking in ongoing projects, meetings and seminars. The successful applicant shall hold a PhD, or have achieved the corresponding scientific competence, in a relevant field and have a well-documented track-record.

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with some or all of the following:

Requirements

- PhD in immunology, cell biology or other relevant field

- Substantial experience of experimental immunological methods, such as flow cytometry, cell sorting, cell culturing, immunohistochemistry

- Experience in clinical studies

- Documented experience in writing scientific articles and grant applications

- Excellent English communication and presentation skills (spoken and written)

- Excellent social and communication skills

Meritorious competencies

- Previous experience of research on cutaneous lymphoma

- Strong publication record

- Documented experience in supervision of students

- Team-building capacity

Qualified to be employed as a postdoctor is one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence. Applicants who have not completed a doctorate at the end of the application period may also apply, provided that all requirements for a completed degree are met before the (intended) date of employment. This must be substantiated by the applicant's main supervisor, director or equivalent.

The position is located within the Department of Medicine, Solna. The department consists of twelve divisions and each division consists of several research groups.
