挪威奥斯陆博士后和博士研究奖学金(补充系统和先天免疫学方向)

Interested in Complement System and Innate Immunology and want to join a strong academic research group based in Oslo, Norway as Post-Doctoral or PhD Research Fellow?

Job and project description – what are we working on?

The Norwegian Complement Research Group is a dynamic research group with a long and highly-cited track record. The group is led by Professor Tom Eirik Mollnes, MD and two emerging Principle Investigators Per H. Nilsson, MSc, Ph.D. and Soeren Erik Pischke, MD, Ph.D. (certified specialist in Anaesthesiology and Critical care) at the Department of Immunology, the University of Oslo, Institute of Clinical Medicine, Oslo, Norway.

We now have three positions available in our expanding group preferably from September 1, 2018:

three-year Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship (position number 151964) under the supervision of Per H. Nilsson.

The topic is host response to biomaterial surfaces, and focus is acute inflammatory (innate immunity) and thrombotic responses when human whole blood faces an artificial surface.

two-year Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship (position number 151918) under the supervision of Soeren E. Pischke with the main aim to pave the way to clinical trials of innate immune system inhibition with newly developed complement and CD14 inhibitors in ischemia/reperfusion injury clinical settings.

three-year Ph.D. Research Fellowship position (position number 151979) under the supervision of Soeren E. Pischke where the successful candidate will work on a project studying interaction of danger associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) released of damaged cells in the course of ischemia/reperfusion injury and the innate immune system.

The Research group – who are we?

The Norwegian Complement Research group focuses on the innate immune system with the complement and the toll-like receptor system in infectious and sterile inflammation as the main research areas. The research group consists today of a 12-member group in Oslo and a 13-member group in Bodø, Norway. Together, we provide a strong academic environment including researchers with background in immunology, biomedicine, transplantation, cardiology, anaesthesiology and critical care medicine. The group has extensive collaboration with other labs and clinical groups at the Oslo University Hospital, University of Oslo, as well as international collaborations, which will be used actively in the projects.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

Applicants must hold a medical or master degree in e.g. cell biology, biomedicine, molecular biology, veterinary medicine, or other relevant area.

Clinical experience preferably in anaesthesiology, critical care, internal medicine or surgery are an advantage, but not a requirement

Extensive laboratory experience and excellence are an advantage, but not a requirement

Documentation of research background in animal research is an advantage (FELASA-C certificate)

Proficient in written and oral English

Specific for the Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship positions:

Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) or have submitted their Ph.D. thesis by the application deadline. The thesis must be approved prior to hiring.

Candidates should have experience with at least some technologies that will be used in the project (see under job description)

Specific for the Ph.D. Research Fellow position:

Experience with in vitro cell culture (preferably of primary cells) and cellular immunology techniques are considered a strong advantage

International applicants must document proficient English language skills prior to admission to the Ph.D. program

Personal skills

You should be a team player, good communicator, eager to share your knowledge, enthusiastic, passionate about your job and dedicated to getting things done

You should be able to approach and solve research questions in a structured and self-contained manner

We offer

A dynamic and stimulating scientific environment in a young, enthusiastic and motivated team of biologists and MDs.

For Post-Doctoral Researchers a university-driven career development program aimed at ambitious post-doctoral researchers with, e.g., direct support in national and European grant application processes if the post-doc would like to pursue an academic career after this appointment

A friendly working environment with close supervision in a solution-oriented team in a top-modern laboratory with access to a wide range of core facilities (animal, light and electron microscopy, flow cytometry)

Collaboration with research groups within Norway and Internationally.

Salary is based on state salary schedule and dependent on personal qualifications for post-doctoral researchers Ltr 57-65 (NOK 490 900 – 569 000) and Ph.D. research fellow Ltr. 50-57 (NOK 436 900 – 490 900)
