We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow to work with us. Our Group was established in 2020 at Hangzhou, one of the most beautiful, historical and developed cities in China. The PI, Dr. Kenji Mochizuki, is a ZJU 100 young professor in the department of chemistry at Zhejiang University (ZJU). He has been working on the phase behavior of water and the influence of water on the function of macromolecules and has published his achievements on high-IF journals (Nature, JACS, PNAS, etc). Now, we are going to form an international team in ZJU and conduct world-class researches.

一、Research direction and number of recruits

Clarify the molecular mechanism of water-related phenomena using computer simulations. Possible topics include the phase transition of water in a confined space, the influence of hydration-shell transformation on macromolecules, and the driving forces and molecular recognition during self-assembly. One position is now available.

二、 Application requirements

1. Strong motivation to work with us

2. Ph.D in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, Computer Science or related disciplines.

3. Experience in running atomistic simulations for large scale systems, such as phase transitions, condensed matters, polymers, proteins, etc.

4. Experience in writing own codes to analyze the trajectories obtained from simulations

5. Background in thermodynamics and statistical mechanics

6. Under 35

7. Excellent English skill

8. Good scientific research literacy, communication skills and teamwork spirit

三、Work treatment

1. Salary and benefits are implemented in accordance with the relevant regulations of ZJU’s post-doctorate, the annual salary can reach 180,000-280,000 yuan before tax

2. Can apply for renting teachers’ apartments, If you live off campus there are subsidies

3. Provide good scientific research conditions

4. Support the application for university and national research funds

5. Support to participate in relevant conferences in the field of physical and computational chemistry at home and abroad.

Kenji Mochizuki现为浙江大学“百人计划”研究员,主要研究方向为表界面水行为的多尺度分子动力学研究,如水相变过程,水在纳米空间中的临界行为,疏水作用,抗冻蛋白和智能大分子-刺激响应聚合物。目前已发表高水平论文20余篇(其中包括Nature, JACS, PNAS等顶刊)。因科研工作需要,现面向国内外公开招聘博士后,研究工作将基于计算模拟阐明水分子行为相关的动力学机制。可开展工作方向包括:1)受限空间中水的相变;2)水化膜生成的驱动力,对大分子的影响及自生成过程中的分子识别。

一、岗位待遇

工资及福利待遇按照浙江大学博士后相关规定执行,税前18-28万年薪,根据申请人具体条件浮动,确保总体薪酬在同行业中具有竞争力;

二、招聘条件

应聘者需具备以下条件:

具有化学,物理,材料科学,或计算机科学相关研究方向的博士学位;

年龄在35周岁以下;

有较强的英文听说读写能力,具备良好的科研素养,沟通能力和团队协作精神;

近五年在国际期刊上以第一作者发表过高水平高质量论文;

有大尺度系统的原子模拟经验,如相变过程,冷凝物,聚合物及蛋白质等研究经历优先考虑;

热力学及统计力学的研究背景;

具有编写整体仿真计算代码经验者优先考虑。
